Gazprom AIT Facility, LLC and the Moscow Aviation Institute signed a memorandum on cooperation The parties will combine their efforts to develop space engineering education and establish a domestic digital ecosystem in the field of space technologies.

An important agreement was signed between Gazprom AIT Facility, LLC and the Moscow Aviation Institute within the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (SPIGF) 2025.

Andrei Iakovlev, Director General at Gazprom AIT Facility, LLC, and Andrei Ivanov, Vice-Rector for Research at the Moscow Aviation Institute, countersigned a memorandum on cooperation to implement the educational and application program “Tsiolkovsky Stars”.

The memorandum confirms the intention of the parties to establish and develop the mutually beneficial cooperation. Key objectives of this partnership are the development of scientific and technical creativity of youth, as well as implementation of a practice-oriented approach in the space engineering education. The establishment and development of the domestic digital ecosystem in the field of space technologies and Earth Remote Sensing (ERS) will become the top priority of the joint work.
Under the memorandum, the parties agreed on mutual assistance when organizing employer-sponsored education and trainings for students and young specialists at leading enterprises and research establishments of the Russian space industry. This achievement will enable the MAI students to gain invaluable experience and put a theory into practice during actual projects.

Furthermore, the partners expressed their intention to support each other through organizing and holding joint workshops, scientific conferences and roundtables discussions. The events will be addressed to summarizing the cooperation results, solving problems of the engineering education and science, and discussing prioritized directions of the space industry development.

The signing of the memorandum represents an important step towards strengthening the ties between science and industry, opening new horizons for training highly qualified personnel and ensuring the technological sovereignty of the Russian space industry.
