Gazprom continues to extend cooperation with Russian high-tech industry

On October 7, in the framework of St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2021, the documents were signed aimed at the development of cooperation between Gazprom and Russian industrial enterprises in terms of using the capabilities of the Yamal satellite communication system.

Gazprom and United Shipbuilding Corporation signed an Agreement of Intent on equipping ships with modern satellite communication complexes.

The purpose of the agreement is to provide the marine fleet, primarily engaged in the development of the Russian continental shelf, with satellite communication and broadband Internet access through the Yamal satellite communication system created by Gazprom Group.

The document was signed by Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom PJSC, and Taras Lipnitskiy, Deputy CEO for Logistic Support and Supply Management of the United Shipbuilding Corporation JSC.

Gazprom and Russian Helicopters JSC signed a Cooperation agreement on equipping helicopters with the modern satellite communication equipment.

As set forth in the document, the Gazprom’s helicopter fleet will be equipped with satellite communication and Internet access by means of the Yamal system. This refers, in particular, to the aircrafts for transportation of the personnel to the production facilities of the company in remote areas.   

This document was signed by Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom PJSC, and Andrey Boginskiy, Director General of Russian Helicopters JSC.
