Representatives of Gazprom Space Systems and Gazprom AIT Facility spoke at the Eurasian Aerospace Congress

4th Eurasian Aerospace Congress took place in Moscow on July 19.
It is one of the high-profile venues to discuss and search for practical solutions in the aerospace industry in the Eurasian space. It took place on the eve of the International Aerospace Salon MAKS-2021 opening and brought together the leading industrial enterprises, major Russian and foreign companies.
The global theme of the congress this year is “Strategic Changes in the World’s Aviation and Space Industry”.
Roman Sevastyanov, Head of Design Department in Gazprom AIT Facility, participated in the discussion of one of the most topical subjects of the congress, namely, public private partnership and commercialization in the aerospace area. By way of Gazprom Space Systems’ and Gazprom AIT Facility’ example, he spoke about the interaction experience with state corporations, in particular, about the agreement signed between Gazprom PJSC, Roscosmos and Rosatom State Corporations at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on the creation of the unified system of geotechnical monitoring of hazardous production facilities on the basis of the radar space survey.
Igor Kot, Deputy Director General of Gazprom Space Systems, took part in the round table, which discussed the creation of various satellite constellations. He spoke about Gazprom’s space projects, included in the Sphere program (among them – new Yamal communication satellites, SMOTR Earth remote sensing satellites and the Spacecraft Assembly, Integration and Testing Facility under construction), and emphasized the importance of the public private partnership in the implementation of capital intensive satellite projects and expansion of the space service market.
